About us
Bringing together five dudes, four cameras, and the one and only World of Warcraft, Project Lore is all about putting the best multimedia MMORPG game guides in one place. We also make a daily video show and a blog about all things WoW. Led by Alex Albrecht, the show follows the progress of a group of level 70 players who love beer and pizza and loathe Fel Orcs.
We're just getting started so let us know what you think!
Creator / Host: Alex Albrecht
Alex has participated in the entertainment industry for six years. He founded and directed the popular, Los Angeles-based improv comedy troupe, The Misfit Toys. The group was featured in Stuff Magazine and on MTV. Alex subsequently appeared in a number of national television commercials for companies such as Volkswagen, Dominos, and Dell. After a chance meeting with a TechTV producer at a wedding, Alex landed the co-hosting role on TechTV's The Screen Savers. It was at TechTV that he met Kevin Rose, and one of the most successful Internet television partnerships was born. In 2004, Kevin and Alex decided to create a weekly podcast called Diggnation. The show went on to become one of the most popular running web series of all time.
Alex also starred in Ctrl+Alt+Chicken, a weekly cooking show co-hosted with Heather Stewart. In the Ctrl+Alt+Chicken kitchen, comedy is valued more than the quality of the dish that's being prepared. In addition to creating Diggnation and Ctrl+Alt+Chicken, Alex teamed up with his two buds Dan and Jeff to create the raddest show on the net, The Totally Rad Show. TRS is an eccentric mix of movie quotes and in depth and entertaining reviews and talk about some of the raddest, Movies, Video Games, Television Shows and Comics. Recently, Alex was honored at the 2008 Webby Awards in New York City, winning awards for his two current creations, Diggnation (Technology) and The Totally Rad Show (Variety).
The Boys
Zand Broumand
Zand was born and raised in the exceedingly wealthy city of Santa Barbara. Constantly pampered and spoiled as a youngster, Zand failed to learn the merits of hard work. Instead, he adopted the concept of hard play. After graduating from the University of California Santa Barbara, Zand moved to Los Angeles and solidified his life's vision - to work as little as possible and play as hard and as much as possible. Today he plays video games daily, mostly WoW, with a pinch of Call of Duty 4. In order to play this hard, Zand works out 5 days a week and supplements his diet with large amounts of caffeine and chicken.
Joshua Brentano
Joshua is currently the Executive Producer of Attack of the Show, G4 television network's daily live variety show for guy gamers. It covers topics ranging from the Internet, movies, tv, and gadgets to chicks, Japan, culture, and more. Responsible for well over 1,500 hours of live television, Joshua has become one of the premier producers at G4. He has pitched and produced several network-wide specials and worked as a producer for Call for Help, The Screen Savers, and Attack of the Show. You may recognize him from his on-air & LAN Party contributions to The Screen Savers. You also may think he's an obnoxious d-bag.
Jerry Trainor
Mr. Trainor is possibly the world's greatest ninja. He's hidden this fact from everyone, as no one has ever seen him perform any ninja moves. This is proof that he's the best, since a ninja should never be known to be a ninja. He'll blink and you'll wonder, "What was that gust of wind?" Then, the upper half of your body will fall off of your legs, and he'll blink again. Also, he was born and raised in San Diego, went to UCSB, and is currently starring as Spencer in the Nickelodeon smash hit iCarly.
Brandon Sato
Little is known about the man behind the Juggybox. Some speculate that he is a tiny person playing World of Warcraft from inside that box. Others do not. In reality, Brandon Sato is living in California after spending nearly his whole life in the beautiful desert of Tucson, Arizona and graduating from the prestigious University of Arizona. Perhaps raised by coyotes, perhaps not, Brandon has been playing MMOs for nearly all of recorded history. Ultima Online, Asheron's Call, Anarachy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 2, and Dungeons and Dragons Online all came before World of Warcraft for the mysterious force that is Brandon Sato.
